        Sometimes we eat out a meal soon hungry, sometimes feel full after a meal, the next meal also didn't appetite. This is because the food has different digestive characteristics, and collocation in our meal is out of question.

 

        Food digestion time, refers to the time food stays in the stomach. From simple nutrition, starch, sugar, gastric emptying rate was the fastest, just an hour; Fat stomach emptying the slowest, need more than six hours; Protein in the middle, about more than three hours. And we are from the kinds of food, can also distinguish roughly how fast food digestion.

 

        White rice digestion is fast, coarse grains to fight hunger

 

        Staple food is mainly in the starch. But seemingly almost starch, digestion and absorption in human body is different. Study found that made of white rice flour rice, steamed buns, noodles, bread and other food digestion, absorption speed, even with white sugar absorption rate, and the fastest digestion white porridge, digested only 90 ~ 120 minutes. And starch digestion and absorption of whole grains, beans significantly slowed, this is because the dietary fiber have hinder starch digestion and absorption effect. Therefore, nutrition on the starch class is divided into "fast digestion of starch", "slow digestion of starch and resistant starch.         Table proposals: brown rice, brown rice, oats, such as whole grains, and beans, black beans, soy beans and other legumes contain more slow digestion of starch, should with white rice flour and other food containing fast digestion of starch collocation as a staple food. So long time of fullness, can effectively suppress appetite, weight control, causes blood sugar fluctuation is small, is especially beneficial for diabetes patients.

 

        Red meat is the most bad digestion

 

        Compared with other food, digest meat partial slow, need about 4 ~ 6 hours, so if meat to eat more a meal, for a long time will not feel hungry. Roughly speaking, the higher the fat content of meat to digest the longer the time, so the shrimp, digestion time is shorter, chickens, ducks and other poultry meat in the middle, such as pigs, cattle and sheep red meat to digest slowly.

 

        But even the same kind of meat, fat content in different parts of the difference is big, so the digestion time is different also. In a normal lean meat such as pork, the fat content of about 37%, tenderloin fat accounts for about 8%, while the neck meat fat content as high as 60%. Different feeding way also have differences, such as free-range chicken protein content of about 19% on average, about 9% fat, and fat chickens raised in chicken coops on average about 17% protein, fat, about 35%.
