        A healthy lifestyle can not only slow down the aging, and even reversing aging. A new study shows, exercise more, eat more vegetables and fruits help prolong life.

 

        The researchers studied the health life style influence on chromosomes telomere length. Telomere is like a "clock" chromosomes, will increase with age and shorter.

 

        The study said, scientists think, telomeres shorten the life of representative also follow to shorten. Once depleted telomeres, chromosomes were easy to mutation can increase heart disease, alzheimer's, diabetes and some cancer, and the risk of early death.

 

        Researchers at the university of California, San Francisco, the United States to compare two groups of men with prostate cancer, one group (25) to maintain the original way of life, another group of people (10) is under the monitoring of doctors, nutritionists and psychiatrists, strictly adjust lifestyle changes. Diet had higher composition of plant sex protein, fruits and vegetables, raw grains, and are mostly less oil, only by a small amount of processing of carbohydrate foods. In addition, they also do yoga or meditation to reduce pressure, and accept the psychological consultation and 30 minutes walking kind of moderate exercise 6 days a week.

 

        Five years later, the researchers found that patients with follow a healthy lifestyle of telomerase has increased by an average 10%, essentially reverse the aging process. But another group of maintaining the original way of life in patients with telomeres are shortened by an average of 3%.

 

        The researchers point out, new research suggests that stress, improving diet and increase the movement, not only can prevent telomere shortening, also can make the telomere growth. Although it is uncertain whether the growth of telomeres have direct relationship with increased life expectancy, but the study support people should adopt a healthy lifestyle. (Cao Shufen)
