China's traditional Chinese medicine to 



    American health day website reported on March 25, on the day of publication in the journal of the European endocrinology of a new study has found that, by use of certain antibiotics may increase the risk of type 2 diabetes.
 
    New study, the university of Pennsylvania school of medicine Yang Yuxiao (transliteration), and colleagues analyzed data on 1 million britons found that after the draw at least two courses of four kinds of antibiotics (penicillin, cephalosporin, quinolone and large ring lactone class), can make the patients are more likely to develop diabetes. The more antibiotics use, the greater the risk of diabetes. Use penicillin, 2 ~ 5 treatment diabetes risk increases by 8%, more than five course, diabetes risk will increase by 23%. The use of quinolones, 2 ~ 5 treatment diabetes risk increases 15%, more than 5 courses, 37% increased risk of diabetes.
 
    Although the new study failed to prove a causal relationship between the two, but the researchers believe that antibiotics leads to changes in the level of intestinal flora diversity may be the key to increase risk of diabetes. Early animal and human studies also show that intestinal flora to obesity and insulin resistance (ifg) and diabetes mellitus.
 
    New research both contribute to better understanding the pathogenesis of diabetes, and warned the public do not misuse of antibiotics. (Xu Cheng)
