      A recent epidemiological study published by Tufts University in the United States suggests that men and postmenopausal women, especially those over 60 years of age, can increase bone density by moderate drinking, but excessive drinking may reduce bone density. Researchers found that the right amount of beer and wine to drink the best.

      Dr. Tucker of Tufts University and other people mainly studied the effects of beer, wine and liquor on bone mineral density. The subjects were 1182 men, 1289 postmenopausal women and 248 premenopausal women. After examining several other factors that could increase bone density, such as silicon intake, calcium intake, and smoking history, the researchers found that most of the small drinking beer had higher bone mineral density compared to drinking liquor, and most A small amount of drinking wine has a higher bone mineral density. While drinking more than 84 milligrams per day of men's bone density was significantly reduced.

      Researchers speculate that silicon in beer may be associated with increased bone density. Because in the past studies have found that liquid silicon has a higher bioavailability. As for the sake of white wine and wine can affect the bone density is not yet clear.
