Nanjing government released 24 "nanjing TCM development strategic planning (2017-2030), by 2020, all the streets in nanjing (town) health hospital, community health service institutions and more than 95% of the village clinic of traditional Chinese medicine service ability.

In the planning, nanjing municipal government proposed that the construction of TCM medical institutions should be included in the overall planning of regional health development and the planning of medical institutions, and rationally allocate the resources of TCM medical services.
