Yunnan: "traditional Chinese medicine in China" to improve people's health literacy

Kunming, Nov. 16 (xinhua) -- more than a dozen experts of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) carried out a public health campaign in yunnan provincial hospital of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) on Saturday to promote traditional Chinese medicine in China.

According to the report, "traditional Chinese medicine in China" is a national TCM publicity and promotion activity organized and implemented by the state administration of traditional Chinese medicine since 2007. At present, the third phase (2016-2020) of TCM health culture promotion has been carried out, with the theme of "spreading TCM health culture and improving people's health literacy".

In 2009, yunnan province launched the "traditional Chinese medicine and traditional Chinese medicine in China" campaign, which has been held for 9 years. Since April of this year, yunnan province has successively held the activities of promoting Chinese medicine health culture and promoting basic medical services for the people in maile, luliang, anning, binchuan, baoshan, yanshan, jianshui, xuanwei and yuxi. During this period, a team of experts, led by zhang zhen, a master of traditional Chinese medicine, zheng jin, President of yunnan association of traditional Chinese medicine, and qin guozheng, a famous traditional Chinese medicine doctor in yunnan province, went deep into the grassroots and received more than 7,500 patients. The expert group for scientific research of traditional Chinese medicine culture, organized by yunnan association of traditional Chinese medicine, went deep into the countryside and carried out more than 20 popular science and academic lectures.

According to the leaders of yunnan association of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), currently human health is facing many problems and difficulties, and TCM is increasingly showing its unique value and advanced nature. The concept of "curing disease" in traditional Chinese medicine has formed a unique culture of health preservation, which is deeply integrated into People's Daily life. In combination with the actual situation of yunnan province, it is necessary to continuously promote the TCM culture, popularize the knowledge of TCM, disseminate the TCM therapy, popularize the appropriate TCM technology, and improve the comprehensive service level of TCM at the grassroots level.
