According to the present meta-analysis multi-center clinical investigation and literature, Chinese medicine including herbal proprietary Chinese medicine, such as accounts for 18% ~ 20% of all drug-induced liver injury. Cause of very complex, both the drug itself factors, such as varieties of hybrid misuse and improper preparation, also has a preclinical animal safety evaluation defects, more important is that the clinical application of complex situation, although some Chinese herbal medicine has liver toxicity, which can effectively prevent a variety of chronic liver disease, however, at present our country existing Chinese medicine compound for the treatment of chronic liver disease in the United States of phase II/III clinical trial registration.
