A new edition of guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of cancer pain has been released

The guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of cancer pain (2018 edition), issued by the national health and family planning commission, listed the causes, mechanisms and classifications of cancer pain, and standardized the assessment and treatment of cancer pain.
According to the regulation, the treatment methods of cancer pain include etiological treatment, drug treatment and non-drug treatment. In terms of etiological treatment, the new regulation of diagnosis and treatment includes TCM, molecular targeted therapy, immunotherapy and other etiological treatment methods.
In addition, in terms of non-drug therapy, the code clearly defines non-drug therapy for the treatment of cancer pain, mainly including interventional therapy, radiotherapy (palliative pain radiotherapy), acupuncture, physical therapy such as percutaneous acupoint electrical stimulation, cognitive - behavioral training and social psychological support treatment.
